About Rick
Rick has spent over two decades producing, directing and creating national television campaigns for every major US television broadcast network as well as numerous major advertising agencies, Hollywood studios and large corporations. He started Autonomy, one of Hollywood’s largest entertainment, branding, marketing and production companies, and his work is broadcast world-wide.
You’ll find dozens of household names among his many clients, and his creations include the memorable look and branding of numerous major American television networks and programs which you can view a short montage here, or see revolutionary branded entertainment he and his team created for Proctor and Gamble or Kraft.
Rick and his team won numerous awards for their high-end marketing projects, like this one for Discovery Networks, or this for Lifetime.
He’s also created and produced dozens of television shows and worked with nearly every major television and film star in the Hollywood. He numbers among his favorite projects a series of television documentaries working with music legends including Smokey Robinson, Aretha Franklin, Patti LaBelle and his latest with Lionel Richie which he just completed along with a touching tribute to Michael Jackson with Rick sitting down with Michael’s closet friends.
Rick’s love of travel prompted him to seek out ventures that would allow him to use his 25 years of Hollywood production and marketing experience in the luxury hospitality industry. He achieved immediate success with his relationship with Regent Seven Seas Cruises, and the recent launch of video programming and virtual wine tastings for Silversea Cruises. These ventures and others have allowed him to reach his goal, having traveled to every continent and sailed every ocean in a single 12 month period.
Rick credits his long and illustrious career to a simple philosophy; he’s never tried to make the fast buck; instead he develops long and lasting relationships and partnerships with his clients. Many of these clients are now dear friends.
Rick has been a lifelong activist for equal rights and lives in Palm Springs, California with his husband of nine years Dustin Heybone, 1 of the 18,000 legally married gay couples in CA.
